Zenbe Adds Facebook, Better File Handling, and More

zenbe_logoInteresting things are happening over at Zenbe with a few new enhancements current users have been anticipating and might help encourage new users to sign up.

A new Facebook tab joins the already present Twitter tab and helps users keep in contact with their social network. Keeping the Facebook feed compact requires that only the latest update from each friend is displayed, so really what you get is a Facebook shout-box. While not a fully-featured integration, the Facebook tab gives you just enough information within easy reach to keep up with friends and colleagues.

Advanced file handling in the form of lightbox-style image previews and faster image thumbnail generation add to Zenbe’s already powerful in-line preview system. Zenbe has also added a few enhanced search options to help deliver more refined results, including search modifiers that allow you to search by file type (“type:jpg” for example) or from a named user (“from:Bob”). Modifiers can also be combined with one another to return even more accurate results.

In addition to these feature enhancements, Zenbe also offers the ability to add new email addresses to your Zenbe account under “send-only” or “send and receive” functionality. Send-only email addresses are useful when the email address is being forwarded to your Zenbe account while send-and-receive email addresses allow you to integrate an email account that may not support forwarding.
