We reported the other day that Microsoft (or rather the subsidiary Danger) managed to lose all data for T-Mobile’s Sidekicks in a server failure. The Sidekicks rely heavily on these servers, as they store everything from contacts to calendar and photos there. Hence, the failure was a disaster for both T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger.
Today in a rather surprising turn of events, Microsoft announced that they have managed to recover ‘most, if not all, customer data.’ In the press release Microsoft states that they will start the recovering shortly, starting with the contacts data.
