threadsy_logoMy personal favorite when it comes to personal communication aggregation, threadsy, today announced support for Apple’s Mobile Me and Google Chrome for Mac (the web browser) as well as a few behind-the-scenes updates.

While adding Mobile Me support might not be very significant, as it uses regular IMAP. My guess is that the update simply maps email addresses ending with me.com/mac.com to the IMAP server mail.me.com

threadsy_logoBefore I dive into threadsy’s details, let’s first cover the basics. threadsy is a web-based communication aggregator. It allows you to aggregate your emails and social networks into one common bucket. The basic idea is that communication is all the same, it doesn’t matter if it’s an email, a Facebook message or a direct message on Twitter. threadsy allows you to communicate using all these different platforms seamlessly. At this point, treadsy supports, Email (AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and normal IMAP), Facebook and Twitter. threadsy is still in private beta, but we’re giving away 20 invites!

A few months back I received an invite to threadsy’s private beta. I was really excited about using it for a few days and then somehow forgot about it and got back into my normal routines. Then yesterday I found out that threadsy added IMAP support and decided to take it for another spin.

threadsy_logothreadsy, a very cool social media and communication aggregator just announced that they now support IMAP. While the service is still in private beta, I’ve used it for some time myself and found it to be the most useful and innovative aggregator on the market.

Previously threadsy was limited to AOL, Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo but adding regular IMAP is sure to be welcomed by the community. In addition to email, threadsy also aggregates, Facebook Twitter. If you’ve not already signed up for the private beta, I suggest you do that right now.
